Just be awesome

Few things are harder to put up with than a good example.

Mark Twain

Just live an awesome life. Don’t brag about it, don’t teach other people lessons, don’t criticize too much, instead just have fun and be a fun person.

That will actually motivate others a lot more to be awesome and give them way more to think about than stupid talks about a good moral attitude or lifestyle.

Is your life interesting?

Imagine your life was a book, everyday of your life is a page and every chapter is your age. Many desire to have a really long book but very few choose to make it interesting. At the current conclusion of your own book, I ask you this “Would you truly pick it up and read it

Are you really living a life or are you merely existing? If it is the latter you have to step up your game! Find a job you love, find hobbies to be good at, find friends that are worth being called friends, live a life worth reading!

Keep busy!

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.

Albert Einstein

I think this quote was already posted some time ago and I did doubted its origin back then. I still do. Nontheless this quote is awesome!

You see sometimes there is this point where you don’t do much. You sleep a lot, still feel tired often, don’t have the energy to get even small things done and you just don’t feel good.

What you need is being busy! Do stuff, cram you days full with exciting things to do. Then chores like cleaning or cooking just happen alongside without you even noticing the work you put into them.

As long as you always have something to do and always something interesting to do, you will feel way more energetic than when you have 100% free time. Free time does not equal “Free” time.

Make use of your life

I want to be all used up when I die.

George Bernard Shaw

You don’t want to waste your life by not wasting it.

You want to die knowing that you could not have done that much more, knowing that you could not have had that much more fun.

When you die you should feel that your life was awesome, exciting and exhausting.

Always prepare your next moment

Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.

Oprah Winfrey

Do good and you will feel good, it is that simple.

Love, Meaning, Motivation

The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock.

The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation.

For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You’d be suprised how far that gets you.

Neil deGrasse Tyson

You are not a child! You may still be able to have fun like a child (which is awesome), but you are responsible for yourself meaning you are responsible for your own well-being. Therefore you may blame it on other people or life in general that you just don’t have motivation, love, a purpose in life, but in the end it is you who suffers and takes the consequences.

Even if you were right and someone else was trying to make you feel bad what would that make you? Nothing more than someone who gets bullied around and instead of fighting back just points his finger towards others.

Don’t be that unreactive tool, rather take action, start living! You create your own life and you have to stop thinking that ‘one day’ you will just wake up with discipline, one day you will just get to know the love of your life without effort or one day you simply get told why you are on earth.

It is your task (and a fun one) to form your habits, your mind, your soul and your body. Yup, sounds cheesy, but come to think of it: Who else but you has power over your life? Noone you say? Damn right, that’s what I wanted you to say! So go out there and be the person who you wanted to be, say the things that you wanted to say and do the stuff that you wanted to do!

Get out there!

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Hellen Keller

Yeah I get it. It is nice and comfy at home right? Yup, it is. I like it at home too. But you won’t grow by browsing the web and relaxing. You grow as a person only through experience so you have to get up and get out!

Do sports, follow your interests, meet new people, just don’t think about your last week like it did not matter. Life is way too awesome to sit around and relax. In the end you wont remember those days when you “slept really long” or “relaxed the whole day”. Think about it. Or better: Don’t think about it, trust me, and GET OUT!

Be happy!

When I was five years old my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I did not understand the assignment. I told them they did not understand Life.

John Lennon

The sole purpose of life is being happy. What else could there be?

So stop worrying about money, about doing wrong things, about getting sick but instead enjoy what you have and live your life to the fullest every day!

Make your own decisions!

People will judge you either way so go ahead and just do what feels right

Phil

Often when facing scaring or just big decisions you might wonder what close friends or even family might think of you.

I mean “important” decisions like wether to quit a job or not or if you want to leave the country or not. When it comes to career, family planning or serious stuff like that you will most certainly picture yourself in the possible situations and think about how people will look at you.

Don’t do that!

People will judge you no matter what you do. That goes for family, friends and enemies. Everybody does it and there is nothing wrong with it.

Just don’t let this judgement confuse your decisions. You know what is right for you and it will work out in the end so have the courage to make strong decisions that are in harmony with your own thoughts rather than forming a person other people might like.

Another important point is that there are not always right and wrong decisions. You’ll make so many decisions in your life that it will never be possible to relate anything (good or bad) to one single one.

So don’t be afraid, make choices, face the consequences, gain experience and be prepared that you might want to change your opinion in the end.

At least you will never wonder “What would have happened if I had just trusted myself” but you will be more certain because you have personal experience instead of recommendations!

Making own decisions based on own thoughts is always more likeable in the end. What is the worth of a person that likes you just because you make decisions in his/her favor? Right, you rather would not hang around with such a person.
