About

I came up with the idea of motivatingdaily while reading a very motivating book. I thought: Every time I read stuff like this, I feel motivated, inspired, I am ready to stand up, go out in the world and kick ass!

But I do also know that every time I read such books, my mind tends to forget all the good teachings in no-time! And that’s the crackin’ point, we have to remind our brains of what we are capable of on a daily basis and there my blog comes in.

People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.

Zig Ziglar

I want to support all of you in giving your best and achieving your aims, no matter how they may look like! That is why I will give my personal best to keep this blog updated frequently not only by daily quotes but also by texts written by me. Although I write own stuff, the quotes actually work very well and are the main focus. I see it like this:

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticitiy is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from – it’s where you take them to.”
Jim Jarmusch

And I decided to take these quotes to you out there! Enjoy, have fun with my blog and swing by daily

    • There were a lot of motivating books in my past and there still is an uncountable amount of great books on my “to read”-list, but in this particular case it was No Ordinary Moments: A Peaceful Warrior’s Guide to Daily Life by Dan Millman.

A truly inspirating book by a very great man in my eyes. There is also a movie called The peaceful warrior that I can recommend.

      • Thank you! I watched that movie twice; I guess I should start reading his books ๐Ÿ™‚ Even if the movie was rather deep, his books should be just awesome…

Great, now when I’m finishing some fantasy series I’ll have something to read next ๐Ÿ™‚ Somehow fantasy books have motivating effect on me and it’s also an easy read ๐Ÿ™‚ I think books of Dan Millman are going to be even more enjoyable: part-fictional, part-autobiographical … I’m already looking forward to read them and will start from that one which you recommended ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hey Patricia,
I try to find out sources of my quotes and images (as long as I am not the one who made them in the first place).
Still, sometimes I do not succeed at that.

I am sorry not to have given you credit for that beautiful picture. Do you have any URL that I can link the picture to?

      Best wishes,
      phil

Everyday a different person e-mails me back to tell me how that quotes helps them. I look forward to coming to work to get the quotes. Wow, did I say I look forward to coming to work? Thank You.

  8. Hi Phil

Thanks for the follow! How have you been and howโ€™s your blog doing?
I donโ€™t know if you know that I moved my blog to a self-hosted platform. This has prevented me from connecting with WordPress bloggers like I used to. I would still like to remain in contact with your blog. Do you have an RSS feed I can subscribe to?
If you would still like to follow my blog, may I add you to my mailing list? I send out one email per day with all the blogs posted for the day including blogging tips. You can also unsubscribe at any time if you feel you want to stop receiving the emails. If you are happy for me to subscribe you, please send me your email address.
Also, I created a blogger tips group to connect with all my long last WordPress blogger friends, and to help all of us to learn from each other. I would love for you to share your knowledge in the group and connect with other bloggers. Hereโ€™s the link:

  9. Hey Phil! I just wanted to say a massive thank you for starting this thing!! I’ve had this as my homepage for maybe a year or so now. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve opened this to the exact words I needed to hear. You have literally helped me finish recording songs haha. Thank you!!!
