Are you mature enough?

Maturity comes when you stop making excuses and start making changes.

Rafiki, The Lion King

Excuses are the easy way out.

Everybody can find excuses for anything. Excuses not to work out, not to get up early, not to eat healthy; excuses are the little devils on your shoulder that make your life easy in the short-term and miserable in the long-term.

Maturity is to realise that in order to achieve long-term success, you have to work hard and sometimes make unpleasant choices in the short-term. No pain no gain goes the saying and that’s damn straight when it comes to any form of achievement in the real world.

So get the excuse-automatism out of your head and start being responsible (at least for yourself). It will be rough in the beginning, but what can I say, you will reap what you sow!

Yin and Yang

Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.

Truman Capote

The concept of negative space may help you overcome setbacks. Nothing good can exist without its bad equivalent.

Leave fear behind

Everything you want is on the other side of fear.

Jack Canfield

The more you move out of your comfort zone, the more rewarding your efforts will be. Leave your fear behind, give yourself a little push every now and then and experience true freedom – realising that fear is just your brain telling you to be careful!

Want it!

Great things are not something accidental, but must certainly be willed.

Vincent van Gogh

Success does not come by chance, it is earned deliberately!

Never give up your dream

Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts.

Albert Einstein

The amount of strength you have when working towards your dream is unbelievably higher than you might think.

Do not waste that power.

Sacrificing your dream for whatever reason you might find is just insane. Never make that mistake.

Do your own thing

Do just once what others say you can’t do, and you will never pay attention to their limitations again.

James R. Cook

On you path towards success you will encounter not only internal, but also external obstacles, naysayers being one of them.

Some people just don’t grasp the idea of “everything is possible” and don’t want to leave their comfort zone. Therefore they do not appreciate others to do so. They do not want to see extraordinary things happen and do not want to believe in them.

Do not listen.

Do it anyway.

Shut them up with succedding without giving a damn about their limited views.

About defeat

To me, defeat in anything is merely temporary. Defeat simply tells me that something is wrong in my doing; it is a path leading to success and truth.

Another formula for success

Again, this one is about success and achievement:

I can give you a six-word formula for success: Think things through – then follow through.

It’s the smallest things that matter the most

Small daily improvements are the key to staggering long-term results.

It sounds so simple and it may be, once you’ve mastered it. But there must be a reason why so many people worldwide struggle with long term growth and success.

They are not capable of daily improvement.

It is not about building a career or a house in one day. It is about you being a better man after every day.

Every night you lie down and go to sleep, you should ask yourself ‘Am I a better man now than I was yesterday?’ and you should answer with ‘Yes I am, because…’.

There is a great range of possibilities for reasons from ‘Today I greeted a stranger with a smile‘ to ‘Today I started my dream job’, it does not matter.

What matters is that you do not stop growing.

Grow everyday and no matter how small the growth may be, in a few months you will not recognize your former self (in a positive way).

Start today and remember: There is no room for excuses in life.
