Lead people to lead people

Leaders are people who create other leaders, not more followers.

But how do you do that?

Well, you lead by example, admit mistakes, listen more than you talk, celebrates the achievements of others as good and as often as possible and most importantly you are genuinely interested in the other person’s well being!

Go on, lead!

Priorities and a fire burning within

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage – pleasently, smilingly, nonapelogetically – to say ‘no’ to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger ‘yes’ burning inside.

Chose your companions

Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it.

Pursuing your dreams

How many of us have become drunks and drug addicts, developed tumors and neuroses, succumbed to painkillers, gossip, and compulsive cell-phone use, simply because we don’t do that thing that our hearts, our inner genius, is calling us to? Resistance defeats us.

If tomorrow morning by some stroke of magic every dazed and benighted soul woke up with the power to take the first step toward pursuing his or her dreams, every shrink in the directory would be out of business. Prisons would stand empty. The alcohol and tobacco industries would collapse, along with the junk food, cosmetic surgery, and infotainment businesses, not to mention pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and the medical profession from top to bottom.

Domestic abuse would become extinct, as would addiction,
obesity, migraine headaches, road rage, and dandruff.

Forgiveness

Maybe some of you are in a situation where you can relate:

To forgive is to permanently shed hurt feelings and to put something away. It means drawing a line under something and saying, “Finished.”… The courage to forgive is gigantic, an the courage to acknowledge the needs to forgive is perhaps even greater.

Leadership

Well, concerning recent events, this might be relevant:

You can’t wait aroung for someone else to act. I had been looking for leaders, but I realised that leadership is about being the first to act.

Courage

People may hate you for being different and not living by society’s standards, but deep down, they wish they had the courage to do the same.
