Take a chance

My father could have been a great comedian but he didn’t believe that that was possible for him, and so he made a conservative choice. Instead, he got a safe job as an accountant and when I was 12 years old he was let go from that safe job, and out family had to do whatever we could to survive.

I learned many great lessons from my father. Not the least of which was that: You can fail at what you don’t want. So you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.

Go for the gap

When there is a gap, you either commit yourself to it, as a professional racing driver designed to win races, or you finish in seconds or third place.

I’m not designed to finish third. I race to win. If you no longer go for a gap that exists in your way, you’re no longer a racing driver.

Ayrton Senna

Not only as a racing driver: Go for the gap! Commit! Give your best and strive for the best.
