Living vs. Existing

Suuunday πŸ™‚

I will just give you another quote for today and won’t comment any quote in the future since I don’t want to repeat myself to often. Nevertheless I’ll bring some unique content to this page, don’t worry πŸ˜‰

Living is not this tawdry, mediocre, disciplined thing which we call our existence. Living is something entirely different; it is abundantly rich, timelessly changing, and as long as we don’t understand that eternal movement, our lives are bound to have very little meaning.

The formula for success!

Hey, happy saturday πŸ™‚

Still blogging from my Blackberry, so let’s make it short:

Would you like to give me a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success but it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.
Thomas J. Watson

That’s it for today, no need to support or explain this simple yet profound lesson.

Seeing obstacles from another perspective

Hey πŸ™‚
I’ll make it short today since im blogging via Blackberry right now, which sucks to be honest πŸ˜€

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve your conditions.
Jeethesh Sookoo

There are no obstacles that leave you teared down on the ground, at least not as long as you won’t let them! You can learn a lot from any obstacle and there is much truth in the shallow ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’. But it is important that you consciously chose to improve and to learn something. Obstacles and hard situations can’t help you on their own, you have to drain the energy out of them! Take what is yours and make the best out of anything. Who said you were not allowed to be positive about shit happening to you? I say: go, get ’em, take what you can get and keep it up!

A bit unstructured today, enjoy it anyway πŸ˜‰ make yourselves a nice weekend,

WOOOOAHHH!

Hey πŸ™‚

There’s nothing like biting off more than you can chew, and then chewing anyway.

Mark Burnett

You may recognize this thoghts: “Whoa fuck, this is way too hard, I didn’t expect that! Fuck it, I’ll just drop it, who cares? How am I supposed to pull this shit of anyway?”. Often we tend to chose tasks for ourselves, just to find out that the workload is way bigger than we originally had imagined. But there is no greater pleasure than doing it anyway, going the whole way through the work and finally achieving your goal!

For example if you’re a runner. You run and run and run, just to stop exhausted, realising that you have some kilometres left till home and are absolutely fucked up. What is more relieving, more comforting than finishing that particular run? If you fight your way through all obstacles no matter what happens, even if you did not expect it to get that hard, you will enjoy the success afterwards!

When it comes to success, many people talk about setting up BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goal), in order to keep yourselve motivated. I want you to do that too, but if you realise that it gets harder than you originally thought, which is what you definitely WILL realise, you have to keep going all the way through!

Good luck with that,

Master your discipline!

Hi πŸ™‚

One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.

Anthony Robbins

Today I want to talk about focus.

Try to think of “doing things” in a binary way. There is 1 and 0. Either you DO something, or you DO NOT. There is no “driving while thinking of what you are going to eat in the afternoon and alongside talking to your co-driver” and no “watching TV while munching some fast-food and listening to the radio”. Try to do things apart from each other and pay them your full attention! You will soon notice that when your thoughts are not wandering around but on the job, that you’ll feel much more energetic and more powerful. Your thoughts are not somewhere in the caribic, dreaming of other times, they are here and now with your body and the task in front of you. That will give you an incredible power in doing things and you will soon realise that you get more shit done in fewer time.

You are great at multitasking? Take a break!

Maybe take the example of doing your laundry. When you do it as a side line and watch TV while doing it and keep your thoughts away from focus, you may need an hour and you will constantly think: “When will this be over? This sucks. I hate doing my laundry.” Or you can chose to concentrate on doing your damn laundry, get it done in half an hour and have more free time! You have to decide, if you want to do it or not. If you do it, do it properly and accurate. If you don’t do it that is ok as well, then don’t do it, but you have to make this decision. All this iffy and indecisive idling keeps you from getting anything done properly! Even if you decide to procastinate for a while, that is totally fine, but do it with passion (literally), rather than keeping thoughts in your mind like “I should be doing this or that”.

Make the decision and run all the way through it. The outcome sucks? All right, then you know better next time, so don’t waste a thought about it anymore. Keep your headspace clean and tidy in order to get shit done today.

Don’t look for scapegoats

Hi πŸ™‚

Today I am going to talk about fault and responsibility. Whenever something bad happens or something goes wrong in life people start blaming each other, they look for fault, for a scapegoat, but that does not lead anywhere. Instead we should use our brains to do something useful and work out a solution to the problematic situation. Like Henry Ford said:

Don’t find fault.Β  Find a remedy.

Of course it may be tempting and easy to find a person responsible for your bad feelings, but will it help? Imagine a situation where you try very hard to blame someone for being the reason of your bad feelings and he just commits to be the reason and shrugs his shoulders, doing his thing. What could you possibly do? Nothing! You would be the victim of your own thinking, knowing who has the “fault”, talking bad about him, but not getting any nearer to a solution.

Blame someone else!

All people complain about situations and easily start blaming others around them if something turns out to be wrong, but few have the courage to say: “Ok guys, we fucked this thing up, now let’s work together on finding a solution!”

In order to be so honest to your self you should just not care and you should not give a fuck! Why should it be bad for you to make mistakes? Making mistakes, honestly realising it and trying again is the only way towards success. If you were right all the time, how could you evolve? Not at all!

So stop defending your habits and actions and start creating a mindset of learning and applying new things! And by the way: Enjoy it πŸ˜‰

How could it be Calvins fault?

Do it!

Hey there πŸ™‚

Today I want to talk to you about the great difference between wanting to do things or even knowing how to do them and finally doing them for real.

All know the way; few actually walk it.

Bodhidharma

All people complain about things being tough. All people say they want to be rich and “it is so easy, you just have to do blablabla”. And guess what? They are right. All of them. But who is convinced enough and has the discipline to actually get shit done? So many people have their dreams and plans securely shut up in a closed container in their heads and noone bothers unleashing those powerful dreams!

Walk your way!

Everybody knows in his inside that hard work and a certain attitude will bring success in the long-run, but we are all way too lazy and sluggish to work our hands to the bones! We stay in our comfort zone, afraid to take risk, afraid to show courage. But guess what? There aint no achievement without commiting to the first step. Achievement is starting something and just doing it. And if you fail to do it a thousand times? Well then you know 1000 ways which are not the right ones and every failure brings you nearer to your goal!

Ask Edison about this topic, the man who had only a few months of school in his life and hit rock-bottom when he had to sell sweets on a train for four years. But he kept his dream in front of him, he kept trying and after thousands and thousands of failures finally invented the fucking light bulb! He is a great example of someone who knew AND walked his way.

So get back on track, ready yourself and walk on your own way! If anybody can do it than you can do it, that is the way to roll, so don’t be afraid to take the first step towards fullfilling your dream!

Action > Talking!

Suuuunday πŸ™‚ I got a lot of stuff done today so I’m quite happy about the amount of action that my day had. There you go guys, here’s a Chinese proverb just for you:

Talk doesn’t cook rice

Just do it!

Hi πŸ™‚

Wow, 8th day with this blog, that means over a week, the time just passes by so fast πŸ™‚

We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing.Β  Action always generates inspiration.Β  Inspiration seldom generates action.

Frank Tibolt

Do you tend to sit around, doing nothing, waiting for motivation to come from somewhere? “I don’t have a good idea right now, I just wait, till it pops up in my mind.” Fuck that, in order to create inspiration and motivation you have to take action and this is nothing somebody else can do for you. Life is movement and you should not be afraid to progress slowly, but only to stand still. So get up your lazy ass and do something!

Done anything today?

Happy End :)

Hey guys, I’ll make it short for today πŸ™‚

Everything will be ok in the end. If it’s not ok, then it’s not the end!

Why should you not believe in a happy ending? Why should you fear a bad ending or a bad outcome? Has it not all tourned out well in the end? I do believe in a damn happy ending and I reccommend this way of thinking, because it is fucking great, believe me πŸ™‚
