The small things add up

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different?

C. S. Lewis

Sometimes you might feel that you are going from day to day without any changes. But the changes are mostly small and often overlooked. In hindsight the changes are often way bigger and happen way faster than they actually do.

Trust yourself that change is happening and focus on steering yourself in the right direction.

Maintain a certain pace

Have a time and place for everything, and do everything in its time and place, and you will not only accomplish more, but have far more leisure than those who are always hurrying, as if vainly attempting to overtake time that had been lost.

Why the wait?

You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.

Some things take their time

Go!

No such thing as spare time, no such thing as free time, no such thing as down time.

All you got is life time.

Go.

Henry Rollins

Okay, let’s get real.

Every day has 24 hours. 24 hours that you can use however you please. You decide what you want out of this life and you decide what you do with your time.

You have the same amount of time as everyone else has. If you find yourself lacking time for something it is not because of little time but because of poor priorities!

As long as you don’t get your priorities straight and develop a bit of discipline, you will wade through days and weeks, not doing anything really. Ask yourself what you want out of your life and start going for it!

The positive effects of pressure

To achieve great things, two things are needed. A plan, and not quite enough time.

Leonard Bernstein

Awesome quote! And it is so true.

Having a tight time schedule creates the certain kind of pressure that just gets you to get stuff done. It forces you to get going, which can be extremely motivating.

It is never too late

Wether one is 20, 40 or 60; wether one has succeeded, failed or just muddled along; wether yesterday was full of sun or storm, or one of those dull days with no weather at all, life begins each morning! Each morning is the open door to a new worl – new vistas, new aims, new tryings.

On time management

Hey there!

Recently you asked for some thougts on time management, so I put together some ideas that might help you get better results and actually achieve your goals.

Let’s start off by stating one of my all time favourites: You have the exact same 24 hours a day that anyone else has. Other people are capable of using it, so why shouldn’t you be? 24 hours are plenty of time, it is about how you make use of it.

In order for your time to be used better in the future, here is a list of 10 useful time management tips:

Is it really about not having enough time?

Do we need more time? Or do we need to be more disciplined with the time we have?

Kerry Johnson

Are you sometimes wondering why other people are able to be more productive than you? Why they just seem to achieve more with the same amount of time?
It’s often not because they take more time and drop other things for that, but because they manage their time well.

Time management is a little bit about experience and priorities and a lot about discipline. Managing your time in theory is easy for most of us, but really following through is the hard part.

Start slowly and improve!

You set the priorities

You will never find time for anything. If you want the time, you must make it.

Charles Buxton

As I like to say: You’ve got the same 24 hours that everyone else has every day, make use of it.

You decide what you spend your time on and only you are responsible. Quit weeping around and complaining about not having enough time and make time for important stuff. One major tip: Work a job you love, not a job you can endure. That will make a great percentage of your time awesome instead of wasted.
