Dying slowly
He who does not travel, who does not read, who does not listen to music, who does not find grace in himself, she who does not find grace in herself, dies slowly.

Tips for a happy life
Be present. Make love. Make tea. Avoid small talk. Embrace conversation. Buy a plant, water it. Make your bed. Make someone else’s bed. Have a smart mouth, and a quick wit. Run. Make art. Create. Swim in the ocean. Swim in the rain. Take chances. Ask questions. Make mistakes. Learn. Know your worth. Love fiercely. Forgive quickly. Let go of what doesn’t make you happy. Grow.

We are sick!
We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the ilussion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infintesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas.

Let’s start making some changes
It’s time for us as a people to start making some changes.
Let’s change the way we eat.
Let’s change the way we live.
And let’s change the way we treat each other.
You see, the old way wasn’t working so it’s on us to do what we gotta do to survive.

There is no happiness in stagnancy
A magic dwells in each beginning,
protecting us, telling us how to live.High purposed we shall traverse realm on realm,
cleaving to none as to a home, […]
only he who is ready to journey forth
can throw old habits off.Hermann Hesse
This is an excerpt from a great poem called ‘steps’ which I can only recommend to read in its whole beauty.

Expanding the comfort zone
To be fully alive, fully human and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest.
