Do your own thing

Do just once what others say you can’t do, and you will never pay attention to their limitations again.

James R. Cook

On you path towards success you will encounter not only internal, but also external obstacles, naysayers being one of them.

Some people just don’t grasp the idea of “everything is possible” and don’t want to leave their comfort zone. Therefore they do not appreciate others to do so. They do not want to see extraordinary things happen and do not want to believe in them.

Do not listen.

Do it anyway.

Shut them up with succedding without giving a damn about their limited views.

Another formula for success

Again, this one is about success and achievement:

I can give you a six-word formula for success: Think things through – then follow through.

The way to get stuff done

Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing; prepare while others are playing; and dream while others are wishing.

Ward

But please do not forget to sleep, loaf and play 😉

Take your time

Well, this quote seems to fit perfectly regarding the 100k-Celebration:

All great achievements require time.

Don’t forget, even the smallest steps add up. Rome was not built in one day!

Take what you want!

We spend our whole lives holding back.

Imagine how quickly you can succeed if you just take what you want.

Dennis Rogers – Far Cry 3

Think about it, everyone is holding back so damn often. Several times a day you make compromises, you are polite, you do not won’t to offend people, you do not want to stress people.

What if you just took what you wanted? Well, chances are you’d get it!

While it is totally normal to be holding back from time to time for reasons of politeness or simply because you care it is also very important and I encourage you to just take what you want from time to time. You have to learn that noone really gifts you anything for no reason.

Asking nicely often times is enough reason, just be bold and take what you want!

Mindset!

A stumbling block to the pessimist is a stepping stone to the optimist.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Well you could call this quote a classic and although it seems obvious and simple, it is important and profound.

There is the saying that there are no heavy obstacles, just better and worse ways to cope with them.

Obstacles always come with solutions that you can figure out. This process is great and gives you a great reward, a great feeling of satisfaction. So instead of seeing obstacles as something negative, be happy to encounter them and see them as a fun challenge.

Be like a child. If a child has to face some not so cool things (‘Wash the dishes’ to give an example) you can easily convert this task into a fun game. The child then sees the challenge, the chance for achievement, and diggs in. Be like that, think like that!

Happiness and money

Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.

F. D. Roosevelt

Well no, money does not make one happy. But it is an indicator. Why you ask?

Well people who have a lot of money often have earned a lot of money. And they did this by having discipline and doing hard creative work over a long period of time (in many cases at least).

This long time of hard and creative work is what makes people happy. Building up things, creating things, that is what makes humans happy.

So someone can be happy without having money and someone can be happy with having lots of money. It would be wrong to say that most people who are happy have lots of money. But I think it is safe to assume that most people who have lots of money (-> earned lots of money) are in fact happy, because they felt achievement and joy.

It is a saying that not the one who can buy everything is the happiest, but the one who needs the least. I agree. And the one who needs the least is the one who has created more than anyone else: A modest human being that has turned down ego and greed to a minumum.

Work on things you love and by that work on yourself, your charakter, your body: That will bring you happiness! If money is involved: All right. If there is not much money involved: Fine.

Don’t go out there in search for money. If you want to succeed merely in order to get rich, I do not want to work with you.
