Live truth instead of expressing it.

Wisdom?

Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.

Thomas Jefferson

Here is a small story about the little lies in life that just don’t work out:

A woman rushed into a butcher shop at the end of the day. “I need a chicken to cook for dinner this evening,” she said.
“Well, you’re in luck,” the butcher replied. “I have a nice little bird right here. It weighs two pounds.”
The woman frowned. “That’s not quite large enough. Do you have another?”
The butcher walked into the freezer, muttering under his breath. He emerged moments later with the same chicken. “There’s also this one. It weighs three pounds.”
The woman fingered through the money in her purse and said, “Alright then, I’ll take both.”
The butcher turned red. He had only the one small chicken and a lot of explaining to do! He’d just learned the hard way that even the tiniest white lies have consequences.

Honesty

Being honest may not get you many friends but it’ll always get you the right ones.

Not so modest!

Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What’s a sun-dial in the shade.

Benjamin Franklin

Being humble is a good thing.

Being too modest about your talents is a bad thing.

While you should not brag about whatever you are good (or bad) at, you should not hide it either. Chances are, somebody needs your certain set of skills, but as long as they don’t know of your talent, nothing happens.

Show people what you are made of, do not be afraid of promoting your skills, do not be afraid of self-confidence.
