The key question to keep asking is: Are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have.

Look at it this way
The brick walls are there for a reason.
The brick walls are not there to keep us out.
The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something.
Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.
They are there to stop the other people.

Be an example
Do not tell people how to live their lives. Just tell them stories. And they will figure out how those stories apply to them.

The motivation, the insight, the knowledge of the right thing to do is there, it is in everyone. But sometimes it needs a hint to discover it. So give people stories, give them quotes, be an example.

Head for the moon
When you’re eight or nine years old and you look at the TV set and men are landing on the moon — anything is possible. And that is something we need to not lose sight of — that the inspiration and permission to dream is immense.

Be good at something
Be good at something. It makes you valuable.

This has to do with focus. Nowadays there can’t be a Da Vinci anymore. You can’t be a good artist, mathematician, engineer, astrophysicist and salesman. The different topics, you might be interested in, have grown. So instead of doing everything a little, pick one and become really good.

you won’t regret the things you DO
It is not the things we do in life that we regret on our death bed. It is the things we do not. Find your passion and follow it. […] We don’t beat the reaper by living longer, but living well, and living fully.
Randy Pausch
This extraordinary guy really knows what he is talking about. He hold that speech knowing he probably wouldn’t live another month. Even in his last days he enjoyed his life,
I’m dying, and I’m having fun. And I’m going to keep having fun every day I have left.
If you really want to, nothing can stop you from living life to its limits.
