Being a huge gamer I like to compare life to gaming and when it comes to not getting what you wanted or failing this comparison works really well.
In a game when you get something that you did not want in the first place, you are happy either way for some new experience and try again. You know that you have gotten better by trying and that every step you took gave you precious experience points that enhanced your skills.
Therefore gamers learn the valuable lesson that progress does not necessarily mean getting exactly what you want. Bear that in mind and enjoy the ride 🙂
