Thinking outside the box

Hey hey, day two 🙂

Instead of thinking outside the box, just get rid of it.

I read this quote some time ago around the interwebs and fell in love with it in no-time 😀 People, especially in buisness, always talk about thinking outside the box and establishing new standards etc., but the concept of thinking of no box at all is so outside of any box, it’s just awesome how the author played with this metaphor 🙂

So, get rid of your thought box today and try something genuinely new and fresh to you. You’ll enjoy it, one way or another 😉

Sleep vs. Work

Hey there 🙂

Today’s quote to start off the blog will be:

“I do not have superior intelligence or faultless looks.  I do not captivate a room or run a mile under six minutes.  I only succeeded because I was still working after everyone else went to sleep.”

Greg Evans

I really like this quote because it always reminds me of the fact that there are no “easy ways” or “shortcuts” when it comes to success. You have to work harder than anyone else, if you want to achieve more than anyone else!

Of course it won’t bring you that much if you put boxes on an assembly line for 16 hours a day, 40 years of your life (except you’d be probably the most skilled box-putter in the world 😉 ), but even if you found something you’re really good at or something you really love, you have to keep doing it and work your hands to the bones in order to exceed others around you. If you want to achieve something extraordinary, you have to put extraordinary effort in that.

And now go out in the world and show the people what you’re made of and that you rock as hell!

Hello World

Yep here it is, my dailymote-blog, A blog where you’ll find your daily portion of motivation and inspiration! I decided to give wordpress a shot before i take it to another level by going top-level >:-) (I created the banner because of style reasons and “.wordpress.com” is just not looking as good as “.com”, so let’s hope that some day I’ll really go top-level :D)  Have fun with this blog and recommend or feedback it, if you like too, i appreciate both 🙂

Btw: There will be two categories, “dailymote” and “personal” or sth. like that. Dailymote is the category for the daily quotes I’ll be delivering and personal will be the category for personal texts and thoughts about the topic motivation/inspiration 🙂
